
Clean water, safe sanitation and good hygiene behaviours are crucial to safeguarding our health and guaranteeing our nutrition. We simply cannot end undernutrition without water, sanitation and hygiene.
This 2.5 hour course shares knowledge, skills on practical tools to create better more impactful integrated interventions between WASH and nutrition.
Course objectives
By the end of the course, participants will have a good understanding of:
The interlinkages between WASH and nutrition
How poor WASH practices exacerbate malnutrition, particularly undernutrition
Tools and methodologies for designing and implementing integrated WASH and nutrition interventions
The course draws heavily on the Max Foundation's work on WASH and nutrition and features specific examples from its Healthy Village programmes in Bangladesh and Ethiopia.
